ABSTRACT

TEBLE is a multi-touch interface for creative collaboration. The project is a study of hardware engineering and software design focused on multi-touch interaction. Hardware engineering employs frustrated total internal reflection (FTIR), which detects multi-finger touches on a rear-projection surface. The software features five modes of interaction: Draw, Animate, Move, Store, and Turn.

Draw – Draw using pre-set color palette
Animate – A drawing start moving after being drawn
Move – Move and reposition a drawn object
Store – Save a drawing by pressing on it for a certain amount of time
Turn – Mode that allows one person to draw at a time
